Senior Product Designer – Design Systems
Permanent
London (London Bridge office) - 2 days in the office
£75,000–£85,000 + benefits

We're working with an established London design practice looking for a Senior Product Designer with a strong interest in design systems and the craft behind building great digital products.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale products where design systems play a central role in creating consistency, improving collaboration and helping teams deliver better work.

You'll have the chance to shape how components, patterns and shared foundations are developed, while continuing to work on broader product design challenges.

Why this role is worth exploring
Join an established London design practice in a permanent role, with long-term projects and opportunities to progress.
Shape design systems for complex digital products, influencing everything from individual components to how teams work together.
Work closely with engineers and explore new tools and approaches that bring design and code closer together.
Stay hands-on with broader product design challenges rather than focusing exclusively on component libraries.
Be part of a team that takes design craft seriously, with regular critique, knowledge sharing and room to experiment.

What you'll be doing
You'll design, refine and evolve reusable components and patterns, working with product designers, engineers and stakeholders to make sure the system serves real product needs.
You'll help teams make thoughtful decisions about consistency, scalability and when new approaches are worth introducing. There'll also be opportunities to contribute to wider product design work, from exploring concepts to solving detailed interaction challenges.

Who we'd love to speak to
We're looking for an experienced product designer who has worked extensively with design systems and still enjoys being hands-on.
You'll be confident in Figma, comfortable collaborating with engineers and able to explain design decisions to people with different priorities.
Experience working across multiple product teams, complex organisations or large-scale digital products would be particularly relevant.
You don't need to have held a dedicated Design Systems Designer title or worked in a consultancy. What matters is the quality of your thinking, your design craft and your ability to bring people together around good solutions.
