Product Designer (LegalTech AI)

A high-growth AI LegalTech company is looking for a Product Designer (Mid–Senior) to join its expanding product design function, helping shape how businesses interact with sophisticated AI technology.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Designer who enjoys solving complex problems, wants genuine ownership of their work and is excited by the opportunity to influence how AI technology is experienced by users within a rapidly growing business. Working alongside Product Managers, Engineers and experienced design leadership to create intuitive, high-quality user experiences for an AI-powered platform transforming legal and business workflows.

The role is based in Central London with 3 days/week on site and is paying £60,000–£65,000 base salary + quarterly bonus (potential package of £75,000–£80,000).

As a Product Designer, you will have experience of:
Strong end-to-end product design, including discovery, UX research, interaction design, UI design, prototyping and usability testing.
Excellent problem-solving and discovery skills, with the ability to turn complex or ambiguous requirements into practical design solutions.
Designing complex workflows, improving information architecture and simplifying user journeys.
Strong Figma skills and a portfolio demonstrating your design thinking, problem-solving approach and the impact of your work.
Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders whilst confidently challenging ideas and welcoming critique and feedback.
Working in ambiguous environments; taking initiative and ownership in a fast-paced environment without needing a fully defined brief.
Being naturally curious, adaptable and commercially aware, with a genuine interest in AI products and emerging technology.
Experience designing B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI-enabled products or LegalTech solutions would be beneficial, but is not essential.

As the Product Designer, you will be:
Owning the end-to-end product design process, from initial discovery and user research through to design, prototyping, testing and delivery.
Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers as part of an embedded product team.
Leading user interviews, discovery sessions and workflow mapping to understand problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Simplifying complex workflows, user journeys and information architecture to create intuitive and engaging product experiences.
Designing AI-enabled functionality that helps users interact with complex information and processes more effectively.
Creating wireframes, prototypes and polished UI designs, using feedback and usability testing to continuously improve solutions.
Taking ownership of design challenges, proactively identifying problems and helping shape product direction.
Balancing user needs, technical feasibility and commercial priorities to deliver meaningful product improvements.
